Dermatology Frankfurt Wiesbaden
The doctors and specialists at the Medical Laser Center Frankfurt Wiesbaden distinguish between treatments necessitated by medical conditions and purely cosmetic treatments. Even the most effective anti-aging treatment is ineffective without long-term skin protection.
For dermatological consultations at our medical and laser centers in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden, we charge €30. This amount will be credited towards your first treatment.
Tips for healthy skin
First Place: UV Protection
Most wrinkles and fine lines, up to 80% to be precise, are caused by the sun. Harmful UV rays, in particular, penetrate deep into our connective tissue, causing our skin to sag. Laser treatments using a Fraxel (fractional) laser or microneedling stimulate the skin to produce collagen, thereby replacing dead skin cells with new ones.
Second Place: Skincare
Smoother skin is something everyone who moisturizes regularly has. For example, those with dry skin often react to poor hydration with fine lines that appear all over their face. Creams containing glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and urea can help. They bind water and plump up the skin from within.
Third Place: Don't Smoke
With just one puff, you inhale many toxins that are harmful to your body. In addition, nicotine causes cancer and also prematurely ages the skin. Smoking also causes a narrowing of the blood vessels, which affects the oxygen supply to the tissues.
4th Place: Limit Alcohol
Regular alcohol consumption is also responsible for skin aging. It dehydrates the body, including the skin. Frequent consumption of alcoholic beverages can even lead to skin diseases. These skin diseases can include acne, psoriasis, and rosacea.
5th Place: Sleep
Sufficient sleep is very important for keeping the body young. Seven to eight hours of sleep per night is ideal. During sleep, cells regenerate faster than when awake. Furthermore, the immune system is strengthened, hair grows, and skin renews itself.
6th Place: Healthy Diet
Some foods possess true anti-aging powers, such as fish, flaxseed oil, rapeseed oil, walnut oil, nuts, fruits, vegetables, unsweetened fruit juices, and spices like turmeric, sage, ginger, and rosemary. Foods that are not so good for the skin include pork, fatty meats in general, sausages, white flour products, cakes, sweets, sodas, and candied fruits.
7th Place: Exercise, but Not Too Much
Endurance training is part of an anti-aging program. However, you shouldn't overdo it with exercise, because those who exercise intensely boost their metabolism and thereby produce even more free radicals, which age the body.
8th Place: Drink Enough Fluids
Everyone should drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day if possible. We also consume about another liter through food. Green tea has a particularly strong antioxidant effect and can therefore inhibit free radicals.
Number 9: No Sugar
Too much sugar is also harmful to the body. It cross-links proteins in the body, forming stiff structures that make tissue inelastic. This leads to premature wrinkles.
Number 10: Reduce Stress
Hectic workaholics change jobs faster than others. The magic word is stress management. Everyone should find out for themselves how best to reduce stress, whether through yoga, autogenic training, or meditation. However, the simplest remedy for stress is always to do something you enjoy whenever possible. The more you listen to your body's needs, the less overwhelmed you feel, and the less likely you are to age.
Of course, there are other anti-aging methods as well.
